Default IDX Map Page for review

I wanted to get some feedback from the forum about the MLS map search page I had REW create for me. You can see it here: http://www.mybrevardrealestate.com/map/
The main reason I want some input isn't really about the design or features, mainly I just need some input on the speed of the map on Internet Explorer. I've tested it on multiple computers and it is very slow on IE but Firefox is extremely fast! The programmer says he doesn't see any difference between the two browsers. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

I only have IE7 on this machine, but it loaded fast. Also I really like the simplicity of the design on top, and I like the color coded price points.

I asked REW to keep mine simple too! Now I will ask for color coded Price points.

Any suggestions you have for me regarding my IDX, PM me or post it, thanks!

I am likely on the same network as your programmer (But maybe not we have 2 separate soho connections here) and it loaded quite quickly for me as well.

I have IE7 and it did not load instantly but it did not take a LONG time either. To me it seemed like a reasonable amount of time to me.

Hello, I have both firefox and IE7 and it loaded at about the same speed. Not instant, main page loading in about 6 seconds and the map within 15 seconds in both browsers.

Not bad, wouldn't make me go away.

Jim

Thanks Jim.
15 seconds. That is horrible. Firefox loads in less than 5 seconds. Fifteen seconds I will lose customers for sure. Those were the same speeds I was getting and I don't think it's acceptable. I was showing the map to one of my customers at my office yesterday because I thought she could use it when she got home. She was looking for a house in a particular area. When she got home she tried it out. She said she was frustrated very quickly and complained about the speed and gave up after a few minutes.

Thanks Dan. Do you have a guess for how many seconds it took to load?

do you have an example of a map search you think loads quickly Kyle? We could compare (Counting) each one and see if there is a major difference in seconds.

Loaded quick on mine - really like the concept of the pinpoints by price range... ah, the luxury of beigng able to have your own IDX solution... we're stuck with what the Broker in Charge chooses for Office due to MLS rules.
