I have to admit, I was reluctant to join the bandwagon, but dude facebook rocks! It is like I am in college again spending way to much time looking at pics of my friends be idiots, and writing on people's walls.
If you haven't joined yet, check it out!

Keep in mind to that you can build relationships with other real estate agents there. I've gotten plenty of friend requests from other KW agents.

For those of you who have never heard of Facebook it is a social-networking site like MySpace, originally just for college students but now expanded to everyone.
I like it because it seems to be built on a much more solid foundation (code-wise), and looks much cleaner and sleeker than MySpace.

I've been on facebook since it required a college email to sign up
![]() One thing I really like over myspace, is I don't get 12 year old girls messaging me.

Facebook is a great site to reconnect with old people and network and it certainly makes you feel 18 all over again.
Just keep in mind that given it's size, anything you do post is more or less out there for the public unless you lock your account down. -- the same goes for myspace. I don't want to imagine what would happen if a client saw a questionable profile and I've certainly seen professionals with them. |

Nothing is quite like when your firm is trying to hire a realtor. You get resumes, and your bright young webmaster notices them on your desk, and offers to check the people out for you online
Note to REALTORs©, don't have a picture on your facebook of you taking a hit off a bong.

we should ask the posters to this thread to post a link to their facebook profile. I have not set one up yet but eventually I will. Jim

I used to be a total snob when it came to this sort of "online friends" thing because of the whole "hot-or-not", "nextopia" fad. but i really like facebook, Everyone on my friends list are ACTUALLY friends or at the very least, have been friends in the past...Its great for reconnecting with old high school/college/work friends etc...and it really is the whole six degrees of separation thing...I'm often finding out that friends of mine know other friends of mine in the strangest connections. Even one of my co-workers here at REW in Nanaimo added me to facebook and saw a girl i went to college with in Vancouver and it turns out they are both from the Yukon, i mean...i know 2 people from there and of COURSE they know each other...
