I am wondering if it is considered bad form to create similar blogs/what ever it is on Squidoo's site, and create links to each other kind of like, for more info on this part of the subject, or if you are thinking of that, go here, kind of like pointing at all my different things from all my different things.

What are peoples thoughts on that first?
&
Is there any SEO relevance to doing that?

Thank you for your ideas.

Jim

Squidoo allows you to submit an RSS feed for syndication, so save yourself some work and just put in the URL from your blog feed

Jim,

Have you seen RSS feeds on people's websites that are basically information from somewhere else, like on my example above?

What you can do on squidoo is take a module that is dedicated to feeding information into that section of your squid lens. It simply requires that you know the URL for your blog's RSS feed. For example my blog feed URL is:

http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...ryan-ward/rss/

You would insert that URL into the section of the lens that you want to place it in and answer a couple formatting questions and it does the rest.

Look at your squid module and you will see a default section for the RSS feed...

Hope that helps

Wouldn't running and RSS feed between 2 of your own blogs create duplicate content issues? I thought that was a bad thing.

Not necessarily. Duplicate penalty, IMO, refers more towards duplication on your own site - like dozens of identical pages on your site trying to fool the search engines that you have tons of unique content.

OK, so once I have created a few different things to tie together like that I will likely do that.

The other question, is it likely that linking back and forth like that through RSS feed and so forth would increase the weight of each of the blogs, squidoo lens ... so that they also pass along a little more weight to the agent websites that they link to as well?

Thank you,

Jim

I don't know about increasing weight from the links, but, you will be creating associations between the different places. It will help to build a bigger picture in your little part of the WWW.

Not at all, RSS syndication is not the same as dup content, Google et al understand RSS syndication as a method of exposure and do not penalize for users doing a good job getting their RSS syndicated across the web.
