Default Does anyone subscribe to HomeGain.com for leads?

And if so, what is your evaluation of the product? I see they have several levels you can buy for leads starting at about $30 a month. I am wondering if anyone has tried and if you've seen positive results. Thanks!

Have they called and bugged you already? Gosh; make them stop calling.

Tell you friends to NOT give you name to them either. They love saying they got your name from another real estate agent....or was that realestate.com? Paying for leads IMO isn't good at all. I always coach to be proactive and maintain control of your lead generation efforts.

Not to mention the majority of the people they attract are not able to buy anyway due to their poor credit history or low income levels.

Ditto. I used them only to find that the 350 leads they sent my way each month, I could only account for 200 of them in my weblogs. Homegain refused to cooperate and provide supporting facts to support their claims. I will be reporting them to our District Attorney. We'll see what happens.

The only thing that bugs me about sites like this, is that there is practically no way of knowing if leads are fictitious.

Exactly. I know it's wrong to accuse of crooked intents, but the possibility is there, and we are paying for a lead before we even know the quality. Any Joe can write their info in their lead capture forms, you pay for it, and there goes your cash which could have probably been better used for indirect marketing (farming) or for PPC, which in my opinion is better than paying $25-40 (or however much it is) for leads.

How much do they charge per person? I'd never use them, but am curious.

30.00 per month and 30% of any closed deal last I checked. I used them about a year ago for about 7 months and had ZERO luck at all with them!! However... I have a good friend who is a local agent here in Louisville and she nets (after referral fees) about 75,000 per year on average. I have tried getting her to let me in on the secret, but obviously that would not be in her best interest!!
