I LOVE that picture you chose. I like the personal touch to this post and as a first post, I think it is done well. Now it's time to focus on blogging even more and driving traffic to your blog by posting quality content.

Overall I think it is pretty good, in fact I would encourage you to also make it a static page on your blog and use it for your "About" or "Bio" (Click add new page) same as adding a blog post, but they are permanent.
It was nice and personal and you did not spam any text links (Which is my pet peave) you did of course link to your websites, but in this context it actually is relevant because the post is about you. What I really liked was how in the end, you posted a question or poll which hopefully will entice readers to participate in your blogs via comments which lends credibility to your blogs, and helps build a readership. Users love interaction. I think it is a great first effort.

Incidentally I think your "short" bio is to long under your picture

Thanks gents,
The first one was easy. Now for the unique content part. I thought that the bio under the picture may have been too long, I will shorten it up. I know that Morgan is always talking about the related links and how they should provide the reader with more information about the post, a further resource if you will. I agree 100%. Does that apply to the links that are on the left navigation bar as well or is that where my links SHOULD go? I love that picture also. I read in an earlier post on the forum that istockphoto.com is a good resource for reasonably price photos. That was an understatement..... Thanks again, Matt

The links on the left are there for you to link to your websites, or other websites you admire (Much like a blogroll) - Many people attempt to spam those with putting like 10 links to all sorts of pages within the domain, this is not appreciated, and very spammy. If you have 2 websites you own, there should be 2 links there, one to the main page of each - it is about exposure for your websites to your readers. Of course you may link out to other resources like your active rain profile, linkedin etc or of course authories that are relevant to your postings where your users will find more helpful supporting information.
There is of course the link factor: By having links to your sites in that section, you get a link to your site from EVERY post you make on your blog, so you already get links - It drives me nuts when posters hyperlink every keyword in their post back to the index page or other pages of the site, or fill up related links with links to their site THE LINKS ARE ALREADY THERE! - what they don't realize is that if you have multiple links to the same website from a single page, you only get credit for it once, so really they are reducing the quality of their posts and making themselves look spammy and unprofessional for no reason (They think they are helping their SEO, but they are only hurting their blogs) You didn't do any of this, hence why I liked your post ![]()

Thanks. I'm all about keeping the quality of the blog first and foremost. The links back are a nice perk of course, and I will make it a point to continue my REW blogging in the fashion that you have described above.
What do I owe you for your time? Kidding...Loved your posts on wanting work done for free!

I spent some time this morning replying in the social networking forum regarding how to set up and make the most of your REW Blog, you might want to read that thread as well, http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/thread15826.html I am planning on collecting the information and putting it into a much formatted and organized blog post, but that will take some time, but read the thread, should be a big help
Thanks for being you ![]()
