Hi there, I need help and advice. I was having first page placements for some reg key phrases. Now, only one search that I can find puts me on page one of Google. That is Talega home. My site is www.danasanclemente.com. I have another site www.homeinfosandiego.com that seems to have ok placements. Both are pr3, the second one used to be a pr5
I thought I was doing so good, now I just feel stupid. I need to know more and do it. I have been adding content to my site on a reg bases and now I am making sure my link partners are linking back to me, about 200 of them. I think most are. Any suggestions? Please |

Remove your peer to peer agent pages with all the spammy reciprocal links. That is where I would start.

Really? that was the first thing I did when I wanted rankings. Got to a pr3 in 6 mos. So are they spammy? What does that mean?

You answered you own question. Your links are there only for SEO purposes for rankings and have no value to visitor. Plus, all your links pages are dup content above the fold.

You may also want to consider doing a contextual link exchange with those recips that have good quality sites with good content and rankings, dump the rest. This will still give you the benefit of the backlink without the SPAM.

I don't understand "Spam" on my pages. I will also take your advice. I just can't seem to do it quick enough. I hope google doesn't put me on the black list. How can one tell?

Typically, Google views a sites popularity based on several factors. Clean error free page code, site content and link-building are among the main factors. When I ran a backlink check in Google, I only found 2 inbound links. See Here. When I checked your first search term "real estate in san clemente" I check the first 7 or 8 listings and many had upwards of 75-110 backlinks.
Typically you should have backlinks from many sites with the keywords you are targetting as the linked text. Ideally these should be embedded into content. Other things you could have done is have a lot of your coding moved to a CSS file. The spiders that crawl your site now look at your page and see a lot of code and little content. By changing the coding to have more of your page content show, tells the spiders exactly what your site is about very quickly. For example, load your site in IE and then click on View on the toolbar and then click on Source. This source code is what the spiders who crawl your site sees. Much of this code can be moved offpage. If this is not something you can do on your own, you will need to talk with a qualified programmer. |
