Default Anyone tried Leadtorealty?

Good Morning,

Has anyone heard of or even better used the company leadtorealty.com

I was on their website recently, and it seems like a pretty good service I suppose. At least there is no contract that I could see.

Anyway, does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks..

Tim

I haven't heard of them before, but I spent a few minutes poking around their site. Saw this bit in their "Guidelines" section and it made me chuckle:

Quote:
Credit Card Disputes/Chargebacks
LeadToRealty has a zero tolerance policy for chargebacks. Any customer who disputes a credit card payment is subject to a fine, suspension and account termination at LeadToRealty's discretion. A charge of $25.00 per chargeback will be assessed to all accounts that receive a chargeback

That alone tells me 'no' if I should use them

So I was perusing realestateforum.com and saw the following post from this morning:

Quote:
Good Morning,

I just thought I'd let you know a bit about our lead generation service at LeadToRealty. If you decide that you like the service and you mention promotion code '2FREE' we'll get you your first 2 leads for FREE!

Here is some more information about our program:

- No sign up fee, no monthly fee, no long term agreement or cancellation fee.

- We call the prospects before we send them on to you, to make sure they are interested in buying/selling, that their price range is reasonable and that they really want to work with a Real Estate Agent, and that at the moment, they are not working with an agent.

- You decide the maximum amount of leads that you want to receive per month (5 minimum). We charge you on a per lead basis, I.E. if you want to receive a maximum of 10 leads per month, and we only sent you 5, you will get charged for 5 leads, not for 10 leads.

- Leads are delivered via email and, if you want, by text message to your cell phone, at no additional cost. We suggest that you use this feature so you can call your potential clients right away.

-THERE IS NO LONG TERM CONTRACT AND NO SIGN UP FEE, and most importantly NO CANCELLATION FEE.

Please feel free to give me a call/email. My contact information is below.

Ben

Hello All,
Don't even accept the free leads from LeadToRealty.com. The reason they don't have any contracts is because they ignore your requests to cancel. I was with them for about 4 months and every lead I received was pure garbage. After several attempts I was finally able to cancel my account, and even received an email confimation. I received a few more email from them and assumed it was the usual we want you back garbage and sent them straight to the trash. When I received my Amex bill the next month I saw that they had started charging my card again. When I called Leadtorealty they informed me that they didn't actually "cancel" my account but they put it on hold in case I wanted to return. They then sent me a free lead email, and by not responding I gave permission to start services again. Then the little twit aqctually gloated about the no chargeback policy and offered me free leads to make up for it. Luckily Amex stood up for me and I was able to charge the amounts back to them. So to sum it all up, IMO don't even accept the trial leads, the company will rob you blind.

The chargeback policy alone would be enough to keep me from using this service, and this appears to be confirmed by docmuller's experience with them.

RUN, don't walk, away from this company.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that Mr. Muller had some issues with our service. We've improved a lot since he canceled with us (and not everything he says is true). I am one of the co-founders of this company. Lead Generation is a very difficult task for several reasons, and the first one is that prospects do change their mind based on the ability of the agent to establish rapport quickly. We've grown this company from 2 partners to over 25 employees based on generating success for our agents. Please see our 80 plus success stories. Let our testimonials speak for our company ( leadtorealty.com/testimonials.php ) and its very high standards. Not every lead will be perfect, but believe me that we'd like them all to be perfect because our customers would be very satisfied and we'd get more and more customers every day. We do give credits for bogus leads and we are very flexible with our customers because we know that their success is our success.

Thumbs down Our leads are phone screened. Who else phone screens every lead?

We phone screen every lead that's generated through our company before we send out to the Agents, but these are human beings asking other human beings about their needs, and we can make mistakes.

Most of the agents that complain about our service don't even give us an opportunity to remedy the mistakes, they just expect that for their first $50 dollar lead they'll get a listing and a $25,000 commission the day after. The most succesful agents using our service understand that lead generation is a long term strategy and since we phone verify every lead, some of them are able to close 2 to 3 out of 10, and that is a great Return on investment.

Please reach me at (800) 311-7780 if you need further clarifications.

Alex

A few quick points:
I had no expectation that my first lead would be a quick sale. I would hardly call trying your program for at least 4 months giving up quickly.

It is hard to establish the Rapport you speak about when the lead, doesn't speak English, or has no idea why I am calling or where I got their number.

Realestate.com also "phone screened" their leads until Realtors woke up and they had to cancel their entire program.

How dare you say that everything I said is not true. If anyone would like a copy of the documentation I have showing that they acknowledged my cancelation request, yet took it upon themselves to only put my account "on hold" before starting to charge it again with the "free lead" scam, please email me and I will be happy to send it, along with a copy of all the documentation from Amex, showing how I got my money back due to these shady tactics.

The customer service was horrible, the reps couldn’t care less since they thought they were protected by the no chargeback policy. And the solution to every problem is to provide the customer with more useless leads.

It is also funny how many other Realtors describe similar situations on the ReMax and Active Rain message boards and blogs, yet the only one defending the company is the co-founder.

About the only thing you are right about is the fact that lead generation is a very difficult task. That’s why instead of wasting money purchasing leads whose only qualification is a working phone number - A Realtor should spend their time and money on SEO and their own websites, REW created a site for me that currently provides around 3 to 5 leads a day and is only getting better, Not buying "Miracle Leads" from any con artist that comes along
