FWIW, it was some kind of my sql thingy. I posted the error and deleted it when it came back up.

Too many things pointing to it....I can't remember

mysql too many names pointing [http docs.....

BTW, the same thing happened to me today. Received a sql error message for 2-3 tries, then the message was gone and my site was up. FYI.
