I'm working on a market update template to send the 4 cities in my county I work in. I have access to good data/content (I believe) to make an interesting marketing update, albeit a bit broad for a "city". I can always break it down further when I meet with the client for just their area and neighborhood.
I'm looking for ideas on designing this update letter. To keep it simple, I was thinking of a tri-folded 8.5x11 with one of the sides displaying the mailing information in order to not have to put it in an envelope. My thinking here is if they see its an update on the market in their city they won't throw it out as fast.
I'm just wondering how some of you may send out your market updates. I know I have an agent that sends them to my neighborhood subdivision every month. Our subdivision is small and not much RE activity goes on so its always the same content in there, "In the last 2 years 3 houses have sold and the average price was $xxxxx" type of update. The rest of the page on the opposite side is a promotional flyer.
I was thinking of adopting this soft of approach. I figure I'll design it in publisher or word. Since my budget is not huge it will have to be black and white so I can use my company office laser printers. I'll use good paper, something I can print on both sides. I was thinking of what type of paper to use? HEAVY WHITE? Different color paper? Yellow? These are some of the things I have been kicking around.
