Would you have a blog for each site you had or would you have one blog for all sites
Right now i have 8 sites and 8 blogs or something like that. Would it be better to have one blog and all link to that one blog. The blogs all rss feed to the front pages of each site.

I looked at this as well, but I don't really know the answer, i would think that you could do a RSS feed to the websites from 1 or 2 blogs. Currently I am using AR and REW blogs to get my message out and to promote my sites.

From my experience, I would use 1 blog (maybe 2). Google, Yahoo, and other sites love content and lots of it. By dividing your content through 8 blogs, you are just blending into the crowd. I would rather have 1 blog with a 800 pages indexed than 8 blogs with 100 pages each. But that's just me.
Now, if you wanted to taylor each blog to a particular agent, that would be another issue entirely. They could use it to update clients, post market news, announce new listings, etc. |

8 blogs are a lot. I don't know how you would ever find time to keep up on them all. That would be tough.
I'm thinking it would be better to keep it at an amount you can handle. Keeping a blog fresh takes committment. 8 blogs seems like it would take all you've got to give. What do you do in your free time?? ![]()

8 Blogs are allot but if you have time to regularly update all of them and time to do some link building to all of them, go for it. The benefits will be worth the time spent.

I agree with the previous replies; I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with the three I maintain on a daily basis. If you are able to leverage out the work, then by all means, but no point in having a blog if you can't retain readership. To me, this is the ultimate goal aside from long tail conversions.
If I had the opportunity to do it all over, I would host my blog on my highest ranking site, and use it to write about all my other sites. I'd plan to have the blog index and rank really well since it's coming from a high ranking site, which would then hopefully enable my other sites to get some publicity. Since I can't do it that way, I simply have one main blog for main real estate site, and I have the RSS feed on the front page of my highest ranking site so each post will get indexed by google rather quickly. The only blog I'm not doing this way is the REW blog since this blog has the authority from REW already. The last blog I maintain is my technology blog; but that one has been around for a long time and has a good readership already.

I agree. I have 5 and it really is too many.
Do you think it would be possible to 301 one of my blogs to my REW blog? Just to expand, I originally wanted a place to have links pointing towards my website from many places, but, it's just too much to do and make the blogs have any value.
