Question Does your website talk?

Hi, I'd like your input on adding audio to my website and/or emails.

Anyone using this feature? Positive or negative feedback?
How's does it effect search engine rankings? etc.?

Since it only cost a dollar I'm going to go ahead and give it a try.
Audio Generator is the service I've joined on a trial bases.

Looks pretty cool and easy to use!

Please reply with any comments, good and bad. Thanks, Jamie

When I heard someones voice I dont expect on the internet... I turn off my speakers without even a thought... It's like those DAMN website with MIDI files that play and you can't turn them off...lol IN fact, I actually leave them off for those reasons and turn them on when i want to play music!
Just my opinion...

Thanks for your honest feedback. I kind of feel the same way when I land on a site and someone automatically starts talking. I'm more comfortable having the option to start it to listen to it if I desire.

What do you think about using it on a testimonial page and have the client create the actual recording?

Or sending an audio postcard email thanking a client with your voice? As a real estate agent in a competitive market, I think this would be a point of difference that is becoming harder everyday to establish.

Thanks again for your input, Jamie

If you had something where the websurfer could click each testimonial and it would then talk to them... that would be wonderful, but the email thing, might as well send them a voicemail...
And as for being different.. I'd say forget it.. just be who you are and make your site #1 in the engines....
Different is for the agents who can't get leads or retain clients by being themselves.

There is a lot of truth to that! Be yourself and you will end up doing business with people like yourself which makes for a much better experience.

I agree, you must be yourself to build relationships and a career. Out of the 352 my team closed last year almost half of them were by referral or past clients.

But I also believe "successful people do what unsuccessful people don't like or want to do". Being different from the average agent takes courage and self-esteem. To truly know who you are and put that out on the line for all to see. In other words by being yourself. But I would be naive to think people will call me just because I'm being myself or because people like me. There has to be more. There must be something different to convert more leads into prospects so I have the one-on-one time for clients to learn who I am and build a strong lasting relationship. That's why we do a lot of things in marketing that are "different" from average agents.

The Audio Generator allows people you've never met, to better get to know you, and for those who already know you, by hearing your voice, make the connection and relationship stronger.

How can someone you've never met get to know you from a text message or a text filled website? I think the power of the voice can not be replaced though it seems to be missing in most agents internet marketing. So for my team "different is good" and being different in our marketing has allowed us more opportunities to build relationships by being ourselves. That's a winning combination!

I am old school, and hate anything that takes too long to download. I have cable, but still, waiting to download a sound that I really don't care for drives me nutz. I avoid all websites with sound.

If you must have sound, please add a way to turn it off. That would be my opinion...
