Hey guys, I have just made some updates to REW Blogs 101 post, setting up before you post: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...rey/1821/show/

It would be a good idea for everyone to read this, as it has some (Hopefully) insightful tips on how to set up your REW Blog before you start posting, and a list of do's and dont's surrounding the links section that I think is pretty necessary as we still have people not reading the rules, or attempting to spam that portion of the blogs.

Let me know if you have any feedback or questions: I will be writing on creating static pages, as well as posting itself in some tutorials soon

Regular and static page blog promotion? Well first I have to write on how to write a great static page, and how to write for blog users AND search engines - once that is done, I suppose I could write a separate tutorial on promotion - there is a pretty good thread started by Sam Dodd (Cedar city) about blog promotion as well.

OK, I will look at them, One thing I have been curious about is, does writing regular blogs really help the static pages I have created? I ask becouse I looked at Ryan's static pages and some of them were showing PR3 when looked at through digpagerank.com but mine are showing N/A. Does that just mean that the static pages I have created just have not been around long enough, or that I need to be doing something in addition to or differently than what I have been doing to promote them?

Pagerank only updates every 4 months or so, give em time.

Does writing blogs really help your static pages and blog posts rank better? Absolutely! The more often you post, the more often you get links from the main page of the blogs which have the highest pagerank, and also see the most spiders. If you stop posting you slip back to page 2, then page 3 then page 50 all of a sudden internally you are getting no link love at all and your blogs rankings will suffer - I set it up this way on purpose, the freshest content from the most active bloggers will always rank the best on REW blogs.

Yes, I read that someplace "I set it up this way on purpose, the freshest content from the most active bloggers will always rank the best on REW blogs." Which brings up another question, since I have static pages as well, do they become stale in this model and loose much of their page rank zing as time goes by? In addition to righting other blogs is there anything I should be doing with the static pages directly?

No your static pages do not get stale - what constant posting does for you is keeps a link to your blog (Including your static pages) on the highest pagerank and most spider visited sections of the blogs
