Wow is Google ever doing a great job with fresh content, I just did a search on a blog posted yesterday and bam! It ranks #2 today for it's title http://www.google.ca/search?q=Hilton...ient=firefox-a
The phrase was not competitive, but that is not the point - the fact of that matter is these things are being picked up in less than 24 hours - that's nuts!

I love it!! My post yesterday "Sevierville Convention Center at Bridgemont" was #2 and #3 this morning. Also not a competitive term but awesome nonetheless.

Google is doing a really good job. As I am sure you can imagine, I look for my blogs all the time, and for the last several weeks I have been seeing them in or 2 days. Some of them I post at 10pm or 11pm and then the next morning I have seen them in a google search. I have the one that I asked people in the forum to review that has like 105 views of it, 3 of them are me, and the thread was viewed 60 times but at least 10 of those were me as well. Anyway it is obvious to me anyway that the blog "The Rebound in New Jersey Real Estate" is getting viewed someplace.
It is funny though, I have not been able to find any of my blogs, REW or AR in Yahoo or MSN. Are they just totally worthless now?? Jim

I did some AR blogs and they showed up the next day in the top spots for those search phrases on Google. But a couple days later they were nowhere to be found. Is that pretty normal? Those were the first I had written.

James, even if 10 of those are you, it does not show up that way in the count for views, the reason why is that we track unique views, not page views, so the views you see on your blog posts are unique individuals, not you checking it out a bunch of times which makes the stats even more impressive.

Jeff,
That is the trend that I am noticing. Instant recognition and then gone. I wonder if it across the board. Anyways I have cut back on my blogging and started writing the same stuff for my site. At least that doesn't go away.

I think that what happens is that the post is picked up on the REW Blogs homepage and then it will disappear for a while until it is indexed at the permalink url. Once that occurs, it usually comes back to at or near it's original position. I think that what will help determine where it comes back eventually is the power of your individual blog.

Yes I think Ryan is correct, I notice the same thing blog will be right up on first page then gone then will come back and hold steady.
