I'm getting a ton of these in my mail and they are not from messages that I sent out with bad e-mail addresses.
Any idea where they come from and how to stop them? I realize that if I sent out an e-mail to a wrong address there is a chance I would get one of these back, but I'm getting 20 or more a day.

There are lots of potential reasons for this:
Spoofed email address Compromised contact forms etc What site is this on? What is the message that is being sent out / rejected?

Hmmmm you use the drip email functionality of REW IDX correct? If so and it is set up to send out listings daily to subscribers it is plausible that users that have placed fake email addresses are the ones bouncing. Do you trim your lead system getting rid of obvious fake leads?

My Hotmail account I get these all the time also. I assume it's because people are using my email address as the "from" when sending out spam.
Is (MaritaPaterno@ bwbeach.com) a real address? - or do you have an account that accepts anything@ bwbeach.com ... that can be a source of spam also. |

I had a problem that I reported to my email hosting service. I was using the catch-all feature (anything@buyhawkeye). They called it a directory attack. The solution was to disable the catch-all, wait a few days and then re-activate it if desired.
