http://www.floridastateinfo.com/beta3/index2.html looking for some comments on the esthetics etc, I am nowhere near done, so you cant click around from this page or you'll get the old site, but what do you guys think of the layout so far?

Since your asking...
  • I like the color scheme.
  • The font for "featured listings" is kind of small.
  • The skyline image [flash] is awesome. Makes me want to learn flash.

I like the flash, too. I'd make more color contrast between the lettering and the background in the main section, and pump the font size for the smallest lettering. It might be difficult for some to read. And the lettering in the Explore by Area definitely needs more contrast.

Its really giant leaps ahead of the old design. I'm sure you'll be running a spell check on the copy before it goes live, right? :-)

yup spell checks all round the original was really a placeholder so that we could build PR, backlinks etc, so this is the first real kick at the can for it. We should be finished the dynamic CMS by tomorrow and then I can rock on content etc. Should be fun.

As for font sizes, I agree with the links being to small, I am still working out the right hand side and some other stuff, the newest one is at
