Default Tribute To A Tree House

I've been MIA for a bit... I've been doing a bunch of stuff around the house and helping friends out a bit with their projects so I've been checking in but not posting.

A buddy and I built a tree house/fort for the shorties. It's a rather big file so I'll understand if you skip it... but the kids are digging it.

That's excellent/massive. I wish I had a tree fort when I was younger. When I have kids, it's definitely something I'm going to build.

Super cool - just have to make sure the kids don't jump from it, to on top of the roof.

Man, that is an awesome tree house. I wish I had that when I was a kid. Will you adopt me?

Reminds me of the big tree house that was built for me when i was little....It was seriously a house in the trees, nestled in a rock wall....had proper windows and doors and a special spot for a bed. I think it got turned into a full fledged guesthouse at some point since that was on biological fathers property and i rarely went there to use it sadly.

I think that a tree house was probably one of my biggest "wants" as a child. I had a couple of friends who had decent tree houses, but I wanted something more like the one in "Stand by Me" with enough room for sitting around with your friends.

Thats how mine was....well mine was like an actual house in a tree....with many steps to the door instead of a ladder. I think i only got to play ih it about 5 times before the sh*t hit the fan for the parents and i stopped seeing him. I had a friend down the road from my mums house who had a neat tree house. It was very high up in the trees, atleast a good 10 ft maybe 15 up in the air. We played in it a lot untill i fell out of it from the very top and landed on a tree root, i thought i was gonna die couldnt breathe and so much pain. We kinda stopped using the tree house after that and i have back problems from that day.....ah to be 6 again.

Yours does sound very cool. That sounds like a terrible fall - did you fracture/break anything? I guess you probably did if you are still experiencing problems as a result.

Well I was never taken to the hospital or anything. All i remember is falling forever and then landing and yelling as loud as i could, I couldnt breathe so that was hard. My friends dad came running out of the house (i was in the tree house alone at the time my friend was inside getting something and i decided to go find her which is when i fell.)....so He came out and was making sure i was fine, and the biggest thing I always remembered was him telling me jokes because when you knock the wind out of ya laughing is supposed to help you breathe....and it helped!
