If any of you went to see Transformers, you saw a trailer for a movie but it didn't say the name of the movie -- only when it would come out. The clandestine name of the movie is Cloverfield, though it is not actual title of the movie (at least I don't think so). If you follow the trail of clues left in the trailer, you eventually end up on a site called ethanhaaswasright.com.

If you ever wanted an example of linkbait combined with viral marketing, this is a prime example....

And yes, this kind of marketing is genius! It's got me hyped up about it and I have NO idea what it is.

Interesting. I pretty much forgot about the trailer, even though the movie looked amazing. It definitely has that "Lost" feel. The way J.J. tells stories I don't think the movie will have an ending. Definitely will have at least 2 or 3 sequels to tell the whole story.
