Hi guys,

I m totally new to real estate investment...never bought a house before.

This seems like a great forum with great members...so nice too meet u all

my question is this...I would like to buy a house and rent it out, instead of selling it...

1) how good of an idea is this?
2) Is this the right forum for this?
3) what research do I need to do? books, calculations, etc

I`m not in the States so cannot give you expert advice on the market there but I`m sure other members will be of help.

Odd questions.

You've never bought a house - and yet you want to buy one and rent it out?

Where do you live presently?


First thing to do is probably make sure your finances are in order.

Are you paying for the home in cash? If not, have you spoken to a loan officer?


Regardless, its probably better asked in the ASK AN AGENT folder, IMO.
