Still gets me every time how these guys think we are so dumb

Before it was Nigeria.. then a few other countries around (Morocco etc), then I got one from England of all places.. then one from Australia.

The thing I don't understand.. is usually they want your bank routing number, and account, which theoretically they shouldn't be able to do anything with, except forge a check written to them electronically. Which of course is simply easy to get back.

But meh... I feel bad for the people that fall to these scams.. as they are most likely 70+.

It seems like I am getting one of these every couple of days, maybe one a day sometimes. Here is an interesting link to a TON of Nigerian email scam letters:

I remember hearing a story a couple of years ago about a guy who fell for one of these scams and he actually travelled to another country and was held against his will until he gave accurate account numbers, etc. I don't know if it was true or not.

I spoke via email with Zombobo Tachnickitati from Africa. I gave her all of my account information, social security number, routing numbers, etc., just like she asked. I just felt it was the right thing to do, helping a widow and all. Its been 4 weeks and I haven't seen the deposit of $15,456,000.00 yet, but I'm sure it will come through any day now. I'll let everyone know when it goes through...

YEAH OK!! What really sends me up the friggin wall are the people that lack the one or two active brain cells to comprehend the fact that these emails are a scam! It drives me crazy watching these people on the news and watching the media play them out to be a victim (victim of STUPIDITY). As harsh as it sounds, if you are stupid enough to fall prey to something as ridiculous as one of these scams then you deserve to be a victim.
