MSN results are right now powered by yahoo, so most of the command used in yahoo will imply for MSN too,

The 2 basic commands for backlink checking in MSN is link: and linkdomain:

Link: will display all links that MSN search knows for a particular page,

Linkdomain: will display all links that MSN search knows for a particular domain,

Next important search engine we will see is Alltheweb.com, Alltheweb was a powerful search engine before it was aquired by yahoo, Now that it is owned by yahoo the results in alltheweb.com is powered by yahoo, The important backlink command for alltheweb.com is

Link:w*w.anyurl.com

The above command will display all links to that particular page.

Msn is powered by yahoo. I dont know i rank so much better for msn then on yahoo

I rank slightly better for MSN than yahoo. But not enough of a difference probably to be statistically significant.

From my expierience MSN is by far the easiest to rank on initially.

I didn't think that Yahoo and MSN were related anymore. I can remember back when Yahoo's results were actually from Google (that was probably about five years ago), then Yahoo used Inktomi, then they developed their own engine. MSN developed their own thing not too long after that, if memory serves correctly. I still have this nagging notion that MSN will figure out a way to gain market share, but until then I guess it's not a huge concern.
