I have to add MLS searching to my site. What I don't know is should I go with IDX or RETS. I learned that my associations (BCAR) IDX is framed and you cannot change anything which I am not all that excited about because I have worked hard at having a clean looking site. On the other hand I know less than nothing about coding using RETS and my association offers no programming support.
So my question to you much smarter than me webmasters ... how hard is programming with RETS?

If you are not at least a half decent programmer, honestly you should stay away from RETS - it's not to bad for a good programmer, but for an amatuer I can't see them making it work, at least not nearly as well as the boards solution.

I should have qualified that (Properly documented and supported RETS that is functioning correctly for a good programmer is not to bad) - Running into a bad RETS situation is horrific for ANYONE!

A framed one would be quicklier to add, but woulnd't be very good for SEO and design(some of them can be customized by changing colors and all, but on most of them you can't change too much). It will probabily take you more time to add the listings with RETS, but it will be much better user, design, SEO. Probabily the RETS one would be better.
