I am just curious as to what every ones opinion is on what the hardest Real Estate Market is to obtain and maintain First Page Of Google Ranking.
I know it is not a town in my state becouse their are not any big cities that anyone cares to compete for. I mean who wants Newark NJ. Not trying to down it personally, I live 30 miles from it so not my market. So, what is your opinion???

I'm not sure, but I've heard Phoenix is pretty rough.

I would say that Vegas is probably pretty hard.

According to overture, here are the top 20 searches for real estate. Most of them are city-related.

There are a bunch of super hard markets,
Las Vegas, Chicago, Pheonix, LA, New York, I think how hard they are to take over is in some sort of proportion to how profitable they are. For instance, I know if you own Las Vegas Real Estate you can support like 10 buyers agents. |

While how many of a particular search does provide some indication, I think you'd have to go through and check whats the PR for each of the 10 sites on page 1 in each search, to actually get a real read as to whats a hard area to rank up in.

It's not about the PR, it's about the competition, the more Real Estate Webmasters members there are in a market, the more competitive it is (For everyone else ;-)
Incidentally, one of our highest membered markets is Austin, I believe 9 our of the top 10 websites in Austin are REW members, and at least 4 are clients in some capacity ![]()

I fully agree with CedarCityRealtor. Las Vegas, Chicago, LA, New York markets are the most competetive and profitable in US.
