Default Funny listing comments

I found an old post from a blog I have and it made me laugh. I had seen a comment on an MLS listing that said, "Front porch perfect for rockin'!". It made me think of Steve Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith blasting music from the front porch.

I realize that the agent meant that it was perfect for relaxing in a rocking chair, but it was a funny mental image.

Incidentally, the porch didn't look big enough for either one.

What gives me a giggle are the misspellings, disjointed sentences, and language to other realtors, that shows up in listing descriptions on my IDX pages. Do these people not realize this content is published on websites that anyone in the public can view?

Sometimes you just want to call up the homeowners and ask them if they know how incompetent their listing agent is. You can't, but you still think about it, lol.

I saw a good one today - 'pedal stool sink '. (pedestal)
I see these all the time - 'scrapped ceilings' and 'remolded kitchen'

Ouch, some of the funniest things you read here in Costa Rica when locals want to sell their properties and have a hard time translating their Spanish advertising into English. Needless to say, I get a lot of calls to help you (especially now that I finally speak Spanish)

I think "pedal stool" is one of the worst I have heard. One of the more common ones here is "hugh" instead of "huge" (e.g. "This home features a hugh backyard!"). I see that one very often.

I heard about one a few years ago where the agent said the home had a "huge deck", but they misspelled "deck" (think about it). This was a true story.

My MLS is full of Realtors.. that don't pay attention, or have the time for spelling apparently.

Also.. do you guys have Realtors enter things into your MLS in all caps? I mean... sheesh...

One I liked... the realtor was talking about the community in the remarks section.. I guess they didn't realize it had a max amount of characters.. because it finished with 'tons of cute kids' when they were trying to say kids play areas or the like. There was a doctored image going around of them with a little kid making a front pocket candy joke...

If I can say anything to REALTORS without being one.. please take time to clearly enter your MLS info. Tons of people see them...
