One bank in particular here that has REO (foreclosed) properties for sale on our MLS has asked that buyers provide their Date of Birth on the contract offer for it to be considered.

The selling agent I spoke with said that this particular bank is following some Homeland Security procedures.

Has anyone else heard of this Homeland Security procedure from any other banks?

I have seen this at closing with the title company and in the loan docs when we are signing. They ask for a birthdate and picture ID. This is in AZ
