Anyone want to volunteer for the job?
I have so many "still new to the business" questions to ask a more experienced realtor. I'd love to IM or email someone who doesn't mind answering my dumb questions.

Liane,
You know this already...Welcome to REW! Much of your questions the good folks right here are happy to answer. It would be hard for me to quantify how much help I have received.As for a real, live and in person mentor.....Is there anyone in your office that you have hit it off with? Maybe a top producer or just someone with a good bit of experience...

Yeah, I do sort of have someone in my office that I ask a lot of questions to but she's unavailable this week and I have some new clients now that I am meeting with this weekend and I have a bunch of new issues to deal with that I have questions about. Some of my newbie questions I feel dumb posting on here, it would just be nice to email or IM with someone who doesn't mind and then my dumb questions wouldn't be all over the internet for all to read.

That is great that you are looking for a mentor and i hope you find one..
Where is your broker why isn't he/she mentoring and helping you with real estate questions? |

Some of them I just feel dumb asking the brokers, and they get busy. I have one buddy in the office that I go to with a lot of questions but she's extremely swamped right now trying to pass a certification and I hate always pestering her with my questions.

The nice thing about forums is you get more than one answer for your questions. There are many different approaches people take and while one answer makes sense for one person, there is more than one "right" way to do things. Sometimes it might be better to hear some differing suggestions rather than following just one mentor's ideas.
Don't be too hard on yourself, everyone has to start somewhere. The questions might not be as dumb as you think!

There are no dumb questions! Also I think if you format them in such a way that they are more generic (Not specific to a case) then it will not make "you" look like you don't know what you are talking about and would allow the other members to look really smart - why not start a mock column kind of thing here at REW - be the person responsible for heading up the "New agent asks" column where each day / week whatever you have time for, you post newbie questions (Not just from yourself both for others as well) that can be answered with many different perspectives (A huge benefit over 1 on 1 as you get more perspectives or takes on the same matter) - This would be a huge benefit for many of our newer members, and I think they would all appreciate it (You are certainly not the only new Realtor on these boards
)
