Default Yahoo Domain registrar re-directs

I don't know anything about re-directs except that how/which mechanism is used can be important. (so I think at least)

I bought the www.KeysToGeorgia.com domain in case I decide to relocate to my home state for Georgia from Florida. I purchased the domain in the $4.95 deal with Yahoo and used their redirect and just today started to think that it might not be a good thing.

Can you help me understand a little more about re-directs?

Thanks

Your www.KeysToGeorgia.com site is redirecting to http://www.keystoflorida.com/ via a 302 [temporary] redirect. This will cause a "Duplicate Content" problem with Google. You might consider changing that to a 301 [permanent] redirect.

If you want to get technical here is a link for Status Code Definitions.

So Jeffrey, if his site has been up for a little over a month and hasn't been cached yet by Google, could the redirect issue be a probable cause?

I doubt it. THis is a very new site with only a few backlinks. Once Google crawls the backlinks it will show up on the radar.
