We had a post like this last year but the internet changes significantly every couple weeks. What new sites have popped up in the last six months?

Just as important are there any of these sites to avoid like the plague?

Ive used goDuru.com in the past. They seem to be pretty good. Worked for me anyway.

Michael - there are at least 15 free sites, probably more depending on your area. Point 2 syndicates, as do VFlyer & Postlets.

I think an interesting dynamic is happening with real estate listing sites.
It seems like all of the larger sites are sharing their property info creating a ubiquitous product.

They all look the same to me.

You got that right everybody is trying to be the top dog. What's ending up happening is over-syndication and echoing of information.

I agree -- everybody is trying to get a piece of the pie. Honestly, the best results we've seen in our tracking has been a carefully crafted Craigs List Ad with the right headline.

It pops in the search engines for the community and we've seen the ads get 1st page positioning on Google for the particular area. It's nothing that is long term, but the results in my opinion have been better then R.com.

Here is a perfect example of a vacation home we have for sale in Las Vegas in Spanish Trail --> http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...il+real+estate

As of right now, It's #9 for Spanish Trail Real Estate which is a pretty competitive term for Las Vegas due to the community that it is. (2,120,000 Results.) I posted that ad on Craig's List on 9/29/2007 and it got up to #5 within two days. Today is 10/05/2007 and it is #9. In my opinion, that was certainly worth my time.

AR and the Localism option for posting listings has been really good also.

(OH -- Sorry, Almost forgot --- the listing option under an REW blog is pretty powerful also. My REW blog is set up for Illinois though so I have not really had a chance to test the competitive LV market.)
