You will find plenty of new LO's that will answer the phone on weekends, holidays, and otherwise after hours. That is because they are hungry (but not very experienced).

What do you really want? There only a few other examples of an industry with highly regimented work hours. Since the banks are closed after 5:00 we generally are too. It was sort of a shock for me as self-employed to find myself trapped in rush hour. 9-5 M-F is all you are really going to get. Anything else is just social hour. I'm a great drinking buddy after 5, but I'll be damned if I can close a loan.
