Now I`m not a huge fan of Facebook but I always keep a page going for presence, they recently introduced a new share a link feature which is very handy for posting links on your own page as well as others, some examples of what I mean are on mine here above and below the photos on the right:

Facebook is no use for link building because the pages don't get spidered. also people that are not your friends or in your network can't few your profile.
example; i couldn't reach the photos in the above url cause it redirects to the sign in page.

Up to a couple days ago avon you were correct.

Check this out, they now allow your facebook profile to be spidered if the user wishes.

Now that they ARE indexing some of the pages, what are everyone's thoughts on using Facebook for good link building?

It is good for point2 websites because it automatically lists your homes in the neighborhood sections, but it does not seem that many people are using the neighborhoods as much, or nit in my area.
