I know its a bit of an up in the air question but to set goals how many unique visits per month should a good site look to achieve?
Interested to know peoples benchmarks. Thks.

I'd say its going to vary a lot - depending on which market you are looking at.
i.e. New York City Real Estate is likely to have more traffic than Thousandsticks Kentucky Real Estate.

It will depend on your market, as in how many people will search it, and your position on page 1. Even in a fairly large market like Austin, the difference in unique visitors from being #3 or #8 is around 100 per day from my own experience.

SE visibility and market size are definitely major factors. Everybody has a unique combination of those. You just have to figure out your own market through experience - I know of no other way.

I get between 400 and 500 a day if that helps.

I guess it would really depend on how well the blog ranked compared with the website as well as the title and description. Is that what you mean by blog traffic - more clicks than a website?

This is one of those questions that everyone whats to know but few are willing to give out the information for thier site.
I would compare the number of unique visitors with the potential market in your area. If the potential market of buyer & sellers in your area is 100,000 and your have 50,000 unigue vistors I say you are doing well. If you have 1000 unigue visitors then I would work on advertising the site more.
