Default Mini panick - Buying a flat

Ok we're very very close to exchanging contracts now, we only have one thing to be answered by the sellers solicitors and that's to do with an asbestos check or something like that.

However the top of the chain (the person the seller is buying from) has threatened to pull out if exchange doesn't happen by Friday

Anyway estate agents is going to call my solicitor to inform them of this, I await to hear how we proceed

I really don't want it to fail in the last 2 weeks of the process!

I'm not an agent....and im sure many agents here will have more beneficial advice for you, But i would be very wary of any sale where the seller is willing to pull out before proper inspections etc have been done. Dont skimp on protecting your self and your possible home purchase in order to close a sale in the sellers timeframe.

There must be some other good info agents here can give? Anyone?

No inspection = high risk of bad stuff in the future.

Are you from England? Or maybe a better question is what part of the world are you from? It would be difficult for me to advise unless you are in my area, so the best I can say is good luck!

I am a little confused maybe I am just tired "the person the seller is buying from". What is the seller buying?
