Default layout for multi client linking page advice please

Hey guys, would like some advice / feedback on our linking page (Where we list our client code) to make it more user friendly.

The page is www.realestatewebmasters.com/linking.php as Im sure many of you know

If you have examples of web pages that lay out their link requests - what code they want etc, that would be really helpful, or just general suggestions or comments.

The point of the page is to be one convenient place that we can list ALL of our linking clients information so that you as realtors when recieving link requests can get simple copy paste html to link to us.

It really hasn't been a problem for anyone yet but I'm sure we can make it better

Thanks for your input guys

PS we added 2 recently (Vancouver and Myrtle Beach) so make sure if you want to get links from them, you email Jason, Dave or Luke

I don't use the html because I want links to open up a new page, so if the html doesn't have it set up that way then I just physically add the link myself since I'm more comfortable doing it that way than adding the target=_blank. I've done it with other stuff but would rather not have to in case I screw up.

Might be a good idea to make it so they can easily click off which ones they did link to in case they decided not to link to one for some reason.

Make it a form instead of having them e-mail you. Have the site listed and then a box to check if they link to it and then a line for the exact url of where the link is. You could also add a comment box.

I would rather fill out a form that have to open up my Yahoo account that I use for all linking and forum stuff. Sure there are others that use a bs e-mail account for these things also.

Anyways just a thought.

I like the form box idea I think I will implement it, thanks! As for giving them the option, we really dont want to as we want them to link to all our clients (I realize not all do) but giving them the option opens the door to the consideration more often I think. Others thoughts on an "all or none" strategy? We dont mandate that you have to link to all our sites (Some agents dont like linking to a real estate web design company for instance) but of course from our perspective it is one of the most important links we get of the bunch
Thanks

If they are all good sites, I say "all or none"

I think options are good. Some including myself don't link to other local agents , others only link to Realtors, others have who knows what issue. But you are better off letting them link to the ones they want than forcing them to link to all and then have them take down the links they didn't want in the first place.

A good point (about them taking them down afterwards) but hey, if you have clients that you are suppose to link for, then you should try to push those sites...

If you don't mention anything at all (neither "all or none" nor "which ever ones you want") it might allow the site that will exchange to think they should link to all of them -satisfying the client and the linked site. If they seriously object to one or a few in particular, them you say ok, we'll make an exception.. but the object of it is to get them to want to link to all of them. - that is why they are there....

Good point just don't say it's all or none IMO.

I dont think we say all or none "do we" - if people have objections to certain sites we are ok with that, but its best to not make them start thinking about it, just show a bunch of relevant links to real estate.

I mean although "real estate web design" is not specifically about "real estate sales" it is certainly relevant from a search engines perspective, especially since the entire site talks about real estate agents, their sites, listings etc.

I think we will leave it as is for now, good points Ken and San cheers
