Guerilla Billboards
Gleaned this from this thread: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/thread1130.html
Setting up a Poor Man's Billboard
Quote:
Now, take this sign up to an overpass. We're looking for a high-visibility time and place. On the way to the mall on a Saturday morning. On the way to work on a Monday morning. Preferably, in a place that gets backups, so people have to look at it for a while.
String it up, good and solid, so everyone can see it. Now stay close, because you don't want any mishaps, like a string breaking. You can't leave while you have it hung up! Put it up early, and sit nearby. You can get a folding chair, or sit in the car nearby. Keep that phone with you! Keep your seller call sheets handy, too, so you can start taking the calls!
If and when you get a call from code enforcement, play dumb. "I didn't know those guys put that there! Man, I'm sorry, I'll call them now to have it taken down!"

There's another funny one about putting placards on telephone poles. Their advice when you get busted is to tell the authorities you saw the sheriff and politicians do it in the last election so you thought it would be OK.
Anybody tried it?
