We're considering paying to be listed in the Yahoo Directory.

1. Do you think its worth the $299?
2. Will we get in? (our site can be found in the signature)

I realize for most RE sites the Yahoo Directory is probably a waist of money, but for RE biz sites it could be worth it. Heck, even Google still recommends submission.

I have wondered as well but I am too cheap to spend 300 bucks. But I have heard its worth it.

I paid it for years. Don't know why I paid a submission fee more then once. There is a way to to it for less than $60 if you look around.

I stopped paying and I am still in there.

If I remeber correctly the avivadirectory has had all of its link value purged, and is one of the directories that google has hand audited recently.

Click Here for more info on directories recent problems with google. Even if you do buy into one of these directories, its best to use a no-follow on your link to show google you're advertising, not gaming the index.
