I am starting a BNI chapter in Long Island NY. Can you recommend any resources which track top-producing realtors for an area?

You will want to find a mid level producer. A top producer will be very set in who they refer just about everything to. Also many top producers will not have time to get to the meetings.

Personally I would want to find someone that has a good web presence and would use the SE's to find them. An agent with a good online presence will have a higher percentage of relo buyers and they need a referral for everything. This will make it so there is a lot more leeds for the group and thats what will make or break a BNI chapter.

JSeamless...I would recommend going through your Escrow or Title Reps! They probably have a way to track this! Also, you can look at current listings & Sales in you MLS and that should give some indication as well!

Escrow or Title reps... good one, SD. How about the area's Association of Realtors, they keep some sort of track for awards and such.
