My favorite designation is the LRES... I actually saw someone put this on their card - they said it stood for "Licensed Real Estate Salesperson"

IMO, the letters don't do much of anything.

Imho, the designations are good for educational purposes (depending on who is teaching the class), but I do not know of any instances where my wife has gained/lost business because of them...

I don't have any and have never had anyone ask me if I am a GRI, etc. I don't think most real estate agents let alone the general public have any idea what they mean.

I just added the designation AAGG on my business card. Nobody but realtors ask what it means and I tell them - all around great guy. Gets them every time!

AAGG? That is hilarious! I may have to use that one.

Letters only work if another Realtor is referring business your way. It can assist them in choosing the agent to work with.

In my opinion, they do absolutely nothing to get you business. Nobody in the general public even knows what they mean.

I wonder how many AAGG designations we can come up with and use on our cards - that is FUNNY!

I saw somebody with a PHD on their card:

I think that the only designation that really gets an agent business (because its the only one that the general public understands) is "Broker".
