Hey, I tried to make some changes earlier but if you can check out my web site again. The page size is significantly smaller so just give me some ideas please.

Hi Sam - Guess Who,
You should probably consider using a different drop-down menu. I would be more than happy to give you a copy of mine. The site is very limited because the OpenCube menu is fixed width. A lot of peole still use 800X600 resolution and I have a feeling that you are losing them. Best of luck, |

From a usability view, you are trying to do to much on one page and as a result your site is overly complicated. Several things. Clean up the code especially your menu which works sometimes but not all the time. That is a js problem. Get rid of the sign in for your MLS, it drives people away. Do a better integration of the MLS. Use an iframe. Follow the suggestion in previous post regarding resolution.

I don't have any of the technical knowledge that others have here but I can spot a very heavy home page that offers too much and looks complicated for the average web surfer. This was something I had to deal with when first creating my sites. I still think I have too much but I've cut out a lot over the past year.

We agree with judyo, there is alot of information on the home page. Perhaps you should put links to the information about Charleston. The home page should be a little "softer" enticing people to get into the site more. There is so much information on your home page it would someone would get bored reading all of it and not look further into the site. Other than that, it looks like you are on the right track.. good luck

Your homepage is a bit over baring. Information overload I think.
The top section is a little on the dark side, and the lettering where it says, 'Prudential Carolina Real Estate', doesn't quite look right. It seems a little too dark, and should be white rather than a faded white. You could change your menu if it's a problem, by entering the term CSS menus into that well known search engine. It would also mean you could remove the link to opencube. It's a learning curve, and I'm still on it. |

You could basically take that top part with the thumbnails and stop it at the end of that. You dont need to re-list all your links on the right side when they are in the drop down already. It's already been mentioned that your drop down has gone wacko. Anyways, the first thing that comes to my mind after I get past that top part is that this may be the latest template from advanced access and that's not a compliment. This is all very easily taken care of though and it's a good site to start with. It's not like you have to scrap it and start over. You just have to reposition some things and stick them on different pages or take them off altogether. I also agree that making people signing up for the MLS is a bad idea. They will go elsewhere so they dont have to.
