Question about conversions with no permits...
If a house had a garage converted for more living space, without permits, does that mean I can't include the square footage of the garage to the total living space of the home?

Check with your county offices - or whatever entity should/could have permitted it.

In my opinion, you can include it in the square footage, just disclose that it was done without permits
