This is good inf for any of us in these cities.

Once again, is good to be in Texas and, more specifically, in Austin.

Ahhh, I don't see Las Vegas on that list... I think it may be 12-18 months before we bounce back here. Too much new stuff going on and way to strong an economy for Vegas to remain down for long.

Atlanta is there as well although the information is not very accurate. $260/ sq. foot?????? for construction costs???? That's above retail costs in most parts of Atlanta. I see that Atlanta's Prudential CEO contributed information to this article. I hope those aren't his numbers.

Also, the current median price is $195,000, which is actually up from '06. These numbers are insanley inaccurate. They are projecting an increase at $147,000 for the median homes priced.

Here's a quote from the FMLS statistical reports:

The median price for year-to-date 2007 is $195,000, compared to 2006’s median price of $192,500 or an increase of 1.3%. The reason the increase for “average” is higher than the increase for “median” is that the high-end market has not declined like the rest of the market...One of the bright spots for housing in 2007 is that the high-end is ahead of last year.

In fact, every bit of infomation on Atlanta is incorrect. That's a shame and it is further proof that you need to speak with a local agent who actually knows what they are doing to figure out the truth about a market.

Do you see that haze in the distance?

Thats 10,000,000 new part time agents getting their license in your area.

I can see some of the discussions you are about to have:
"Now, how do I fill out this form?"
"I don't have a lockbox. I have to meet you there to let you in."
"My "real" job is I'm in a band. So, I can't meet you to let you in the property before 2:00 pm because I'll be sleeping."
etc
etc
