Do incoming link age
I understand that older website get more clout with the search enginer, but do links also age? Do the incoming link grow stronger or weaker over time?

It's really not the age of the site itself that gets older websites "more clout with the search engines," it's the age of the inbound links.

Is it because of the age of the link or the website linking to you getting stronger with age as the owner works and adds and works on it?

Incoming links are never bad PR 0 or PR 10 as long as google is indexing the page. Link popularity is very important for all major search engines.

I would say the age and relevancy of the site. Just having the link on the site is the most important.
