Default Cheesy? Halloween Giveaway

This might be a bad idea but I thought I would bring it up. What do you think of putting a business card in Trick or treaters bags (mainly the little kids). Of course I would give away candy as well, but I figured I could throw in a business card as well. Parents go through all the candy, so they will see the card.

Is it a dumb idea?? The more I think about it, it seems desperate? Let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks

I think it does seem a little desperate. I don't know what I would think if I found a card for a realtor in my kids trick or treat bag. I think I would throw it out, to be honest.

LOL, yeah the more I think about it, I would toss it to. I'll put that in my bad idea bucket (garbage can).

Mass mailing a holiday card, with your business card inside isn't a bad idea I think though...

LOL........I guess I'm desperate because for the last 3 years, I've made up little treat bags with my card tied to it. I've gained a few clients from it too.

I even make the same bags for my kids when they bring their treat bags to school on Halloween.

I don't look at it as desperation, I look at it as a way for Parents to track me down if I hand out cheap candy....LOL

Just make sure no one tampers your bags then. All it takes is a parent to find something bad in that bag.. and have your card on it...

I would hope that nobody in my area is as devious as you are . Besides, I have hundreds of bags out there. I could easily prove that I handed out the best candy in the world. ;-)

I'm not devious, I'm just paranoid about my image in the public eye It's even why I didn't have a picture of myself on professional sites for awhile too
