Home Vestors - I need some help
Has anyone had any experience dealing with this company? "We buy ugly houses"
I just had one of their people go to one of my clients house and tell them "We'll buy your house......if your agent takes his commission off." Now I have a client that is asking me to remove my contract so they can sell their house to this company. I called my association board and they said there's nothing they can do because this company is not a member. I'm getting ready to take this to the state but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this company before.

They'll typically buy any house if they can get it for around 60% of its market value.

Ask your client what they offered him/her...they probably offered much less than its worth. Tell your client to drop the price to their offer+6% and you'll probably have it sold ASAP.

They've lived there for about 6 years and have about 40K in equity and where we stand right now, they walk away with about 500 bucks!! I'm not sure what the offer is or even if they made an offer. All I know is my client called me and told me "They said they would buy our house if your remove your commission."

Tell them to ask them to submit an offer w/ the commission standing, and you'll rebate the buyer agent commission. See what they're ready to do before it even turns into an issue.
They're approach is a really low tactic...the Homevestors in Austin have been here for a while, and I haven't heard anything negative about them - I've shown a few of the propertis they have listed. I don't think it's a company policy to do what they're doing, but I could be wrong.

I just got off the ohone with my clients. I told them to have this company come back and make an offer and we'll go from there.
