Thought I had seen this question asked but can't find it now. On my soon to be released IDX, the MLS mapping feature loads way too slowly. What are the options to speed it up. When the initial page loads it has listings down the side which I don't know what criteria is used to pull these prior to anyone inputting criteria. If we reduced those on the initial load will that speed it up. Then when the select criteria at the top, couldn't we put a search button for them to click once they have put in what they want rather than it trying to search each time the go to the different selection boxes. I am sure you have encountered this before and will have a good solution.
The mapping of the MLS is a cool feature and don't want to lock up my users computers. Thanks for your help.

I made the modifications as per our conversation about the Jimolenbush.com map - how is it loading for you now Eddy? I do still have to set the defaults to Greenville, and the price ranges etc

I want to leave it as is for now without setting a city and price range. My fear is that if you set the city then they scroll around on the map no listings will show once they are viewing a suburb of Greenville. Thanks

Sure not a problem - but ummmm most importantly is it loading faster for you now?

It is better than it was. I had Jesse adjust it so when you mouse over the home marker, just the price comes up without the photo which I am assuming helps to make a faster load. Not sure what else can be done to increase the load speed.
Would you check with Aaron and see if he put the meta tag for Google webmaster tools on my site. Also he said he built the XML sitemap and just want to make sure if he set it to ping Google once a week or whatever the proper time frame is. Morgan, thanks for all your help.
