What is the significance of the Find web pages that are similar to link on G? There are no sites that are deemed to be similar to mine, but the highest ranked sites in my main search categories all have sites that are deemed similar.

Pete, I am not too sure about that one. Maybe Morgan has a concrete answer on that.

I do notice that when checking my site the similar sites are mostly people I reciprocate with or have links on their site. There are a few exceptions to this.

How old is your site?

Maybe it takes a while for that to show up.

Thanks for the feedback Jim. We have been around since August but changed domain name in December. The G rankings for Maui Real Estate are a bit odd. The number one spot is a dog of a site with only 6 backlinks. I have always been curious about this parameter because it is only common element between all of the front page sites. Most have somewhere around 31 similar sites. Most likely, it is just another case of overanalysis of Google on my part.
