Hi.

Can I get a quote for a new snippet or modification to an existing snippet (see #request-for-assistance# on freenevadamove.com) that will do the following:

1) send an auto response email to the signed up user.

2) email subject: a variable string which I can modify in the snippet code

3) email body: a variable string (or referenced text file) which I can modify in the snippet code that will allow for html links and formatting.

Also, in addition to the prior requirements. Can you give me the option to specify a 'redirect' page (after submitting the form, the user would be redirected to a 'message page/instructions, etc.')

BTW, these options would be terrific additions to the standard snippet so people could enable or disable based on how they want to use it.

Hey Mitch,

I've completed your snippet. I've named it #auto-responder-template#. You can copy this snippet and make others if you'd like to have more than one custom body and subject.

The snippet allows for a custom subject for the email you recieve, as well as a custom subject and body for the email the user recieves. There is also a redirect page option that allows you to send them to another page. The only trick with that is the snippet has to be on the redirect page or the emails won't get sent. You can also leave it blank and it will just submit to the same page which works just fine.

I have two issues:

1. I placed the snippet code onto a new page and got php error messages (on page load) - take a look: http://www.freenevadamove.com/z-test.php

2. Re: the redirect page. Can you process everything before moving the user to the redirect page. I do not want to have the same snippet on the redirect page because I'll probably have a very small number of "your info has been received" pages relative to the number of pages with the request form. This is not practical.

I made a few changes to the snippet (email to, and email variables) so take a look there before editing.

If #2 above is not clear, please reply.

Looks like the problem was that there was 2 snippets on the same page and a PHP function in the snippet was being declared twice.

We'll get the redirect part of the snippet all fixed up asap.

Hey Mitch,

As you noticed I was working on your snippet. It now posts to the same page, emails and that magic, and then runs a redirect to take you to whatever page you declaire. Hope this is more towards what you were looking for. Let me know if this is correct.

Hi Matt - (sorry to be a pain).

I have put the auto responder on:

http://www.freenevadamove.com/z-snippet.php

with a redirect to:

/The-Greater-Reno-Tahoe-Real-Estate-Report.php

It seems to work (emails are going out, redirectpage appears), however, I still need you to clarify two things:

1) Do I still need to have the same snippet (is this by name or by code on the page) on the redirect page? Seems like if we're going to Google this is not a req. - please clarify (your comments in the code may be contradictory).

2) After getting to the redirect page, if I press BACK in the browser (IE7), I am getting a few php warnings and then getting re-directed to the 'redirect page'. I would expect many users to use the BACK button to go back to the form page, etc.

Please take a look and let me know what's going on with #1 and #2 above.
