Is anyone else getting this "This keyword is not permitted to show your ads in the targeted location". I think I know what it means, but I don't understand because this is coming up on searches that are both locally targeted and nationally targeted. Just wondering if anyone else is/has experienced this.

No offense to KW or anything, but I don't think most people search for 'kw city real estate' etc... I wouldn't put it in as a ppc key word.

The only people that would search for KW, would be people looking to join one (great if you want to hire someone!), or someone trying to get their own I'd think.

As it turned out, I am not allow to advertise with Century 21 in the ad, AT ALL!

Sheesh, what the heck am I paying for?

I get this from time to time. Certain trademark words are not allowed. You maybe able to request a manual review of the ad and submit proof that you have the authority to use the trademark.

I tried that, didn't work. Had my broker try, didn't work. Contacted c21, still waiting... That was over a year ago!

I tried it to, with the same amount of luck. It seams that it is easier to just ban the trademarks rather than tried to determine how can use them.

I had the same issue with the registered trade name of my regional brand, which also existed in Atlanta it turns out. I sent a request for manual review, and a link to my page on the franchise website showing that I was a licensed agent in their organization, and the exception was quickly granted. It's easier, and necessary, to do a global ban to prevent non-affilliated agents/groups from abusing the brand name in keywords and ads. I even include all other brand names I am aware of in my campaign negative keywords list since I don't want impressions when someone is looking for a specific office that is not mine. Eliminating those impressions helps conversion rates.
