Does anyone know of a no-cost, fairly decent quality keyword analyzer program? I have used Wordtracker in the past and liked it but stopped paying my monthly dues.
I just wanted to do a quick check on some long tail keywords and did not want to renew my subscription. Any suggestions?

google's tool is very useful:
www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ also installing google analytics can tell you a lot about your key word popularity: www.google.com/analytics/ Both are 100% free!

I was using Wordtracker's free keywords, but I stopped because I don't think it is very accurate. I would try Google's tools.

I use wordtracker and of course Yahoos tool to get a basic idea. I think that is really all you can get is a basic idea of the search volume of a term. I wouldnt recommend going crazy and getting something like Hitwise. Its really overrated and expensive.

For your keyword research try also using KeywordSpy - a keyword research technology that will help you know what keywords your competitors are using and how it generates money for them, you can use those keywords to drive traffic to your site and give your business the exposure it needs. It offers Free trials.
It goes with a ClickBank Affiliates Search Engine where you can see the actual market landscape at ClickBank. |

Some of the ones I use most commonly are:
- Google's Keyword Suggestion tool (need an AdWords account) - Overture/Wordtracker Hybrid tool: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ - KWBrowse (interesting take on keywords, but good nonetheless): http://www.kwbrowse.com Stay away from just using Overture though. Not only is it slow, but since Yahoo stopped updating it, it is slowly becoming obsolete in terms of keyword relevancy. Last edited by Philman; 12-21-2007 at 10:15 AM.
