Hey guys,
is there a tool out there that will tell you if the content appears anywhere else on the Internet? I want to be able to input a chunk of text and check if it's available somewhere else. Thanks in advance.

That is a great question that I would like to know the answer for myself. I use Google Alerts to inform me when people type information about Myrtle Beach Real Estate, but that is not very good as far as I can see.

Copyscape.com has been what I've used. I am not aware of any other website or program that will do what copyscape does.

I also use copyscape. That is the only program I know of.

Or you can just paste a chunk of the copy into the google search bar. If the content is out there it will show up.

Do you all use the free service from Copyscape or the premium/paid service?

from what i remember, the free service was only good for so many searches, then you needed to pay 10 cents per search(?).

free service works just fine, or you can just do what bigtoe mentioned and copy different chunks of content on different pages of your web periodically to monitor, I just busted a KW agent a couple of weeks ago who blamed it on his web designer "as usual" he took my entire introduction from my homepage and pasted it directly on frontpage of his website. I checked back and it was gone within an hour of my phone call.
