Due to the housing market being so saturated coupled with high interest rates and the credit crunch the yield in residential property rental is very low, so low that you might even have to top up your mortgage yourself.. with regards to london particularly north london.

what is the way forward with residential property investment as far as letting goes?

1. renting it as a whole house? (peace of mind but low profit/ is it even worth it?)

2. hmos? (ao much head ace and money with all the regulations etc?)

3. converting the house into flats? (planning and high costs, is it worth it)
4. investing out of country in say the Caribbean?

What would be the best suggested sites to look into currently I am looking into dealsjamaica, yachtcapitalgroup, escapeartist and totallyproperty. your opinions would be appreciated..
