Hey Everyone, I am wondering if anyone can troubleshoot this with me. I am trying to put the code in for my AdSense, but apparently it has to go into the header. I have no idea how to modify that, and wanted to get some of your thoughts! Thanks!

If you are using a 'widget' theme, create a text widget and put the adsense code in there. It'll work fine.

Hey Lydia, thank you for the quick reply. I attempted to put it in a text widget, and was showing the code on the screen instead of the ad. Any thoughts?

You should have a javascript snippet provided by Google. Put that entire piece of code in the text widget by itself. Other than that I really can't help you much more, sorry. :-(

There are also several plugins that allow you to add adsense code into a WP blog...in predefined areas. Their use depends a bit on what version you are running and / or your theme.. Is the problem that the code is not functioning in the widget or that it is too wide and messing the layout up?

Can you give us a bit more info and we'll try to help.

Also, I know that a lot of javascript won't work on the WP blogs hosted by WP. So not sure if you are hosting your own WP or not.

Hey Eric, I appreciate all your help! I think the code just isn't working; other widgets are working within the text widgets. When I go for AdSense help through Google, it tells me to go through CSS, but I have no idea even where to begin when writing that code myself!
